Tues 10.25

Yesterday and today have been soooo busy.  Yesterday we had meals to prepare and clean up and helping with the personal hygiene fairly early so I could get to the dental hygienist for a cleaning.  After lunch it was off to the hair salon to get Don a 1/2" buzz cut which will be so much easier to take care of and keep clean.  Following the haircut we went straight to the doctors office for a hospital followup and regular monthly review with our Internist.  That took an 1 1/2 hours since they are converting to electronic medical records.  Then it was home so I could get supper going, eaten and cleaned up.  Afterward I needed to gather up the trash and take the bin out to the curb along with the recycle bin.  Phew!

Today wasn't a whole lot better as I had to deal with the city water dept mistake on a billing issue, then 4 calls to BC/BS & Mayo clinic trying to get billing straightened out from a year ago! sheesh!  And, I had to call American Express regarding an interest charge when we always pay the bill in total each month and we pay early.  Then it was off to the pharmacy to pick up a new medication for Don and two trips to the hospital lab to turn in a specimen.

Don ate only fair yesterday but today he ate really well.  He does seem to go in spurts.
The physical therapist came today for the last time and ran Don through his exercises to make sure he understood them.

I'm so touched by the kindness of so many people that not only keep Don in their prayers but there are also so many wonderful friends and family that think of me as the caregiver and are concerned about how I am fairing through it all.  That kind of support is vital.  The members of the "widows row" at church are always loving and thoughtful because they have been through it all and know the stress and the grieving process.

I know that You love us and wish us to follow the right path.  But, only You can give me the strength I need to continue, to stay patient, to remain facing forward.  I raise up Don for You, Jehovah, to wrap in your arms.  Amen.
