10.31.11

Halloween!  I just love the little ones that come to the door and are so excited to be playing this game.  We had about 40-45 kids and each and every one of them was polite and happy; ages ranged from around 5 to around 15.  A wonderful ending to an otherwise exhausting day.

Started out with the usual breakfast prep and this morning it was eggs, toast, juice, yogurt, banana, coffee; I just had yogurt and coffee - cleaned up kitchen.  Then off to Walmart to get some items for Don's care, furnace filter, and paper supplies.  Stripped Don's bed, washed and dried the linens then remade the bed.  Meantime, started the pot of chili for dinner and made a chopped apple orange jello.

Of course, it was time to prepare lunch, setup the sprinkler on the side yard, eat lunch, continue chili prep, let in the home health nurse and sent her upstairs to see Don, clean up kitchen.  It was finally time that I was able to put my feet up for about an hour and just chill.  The time to move the sprinkler, clean the family room windows, take down the old curtains and the plant shelf, hang the new curtains.  It was around 4:00 and I needed to set up the chili supper items since Mark and Marcey were coming over to eat with us and enjoy the children at the door.

I definitely feel I have accomplished something today!!  Tomorrow I plan on doing only a little bit.  Don has to see one of his doctors and then I will walk with Marcey in the late afternoon.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)This is my lifetime verse and just knowing that He is with me makes it all easier.
