Nature's Inspiration

For thousands of years man has intuitively felt that tug of knowledge of something that far surpasses our own mortality.  Mankind has always been aware of a power far beyond our grasp; of a God that could beckon the clouds and shift the waters, bring forth the fruit and send herds across the hills.  At various times in history man has also questioned the validity of this power, this God.  Man, in his self-absorbed singularity, has taken it upon himself to chastise those seen as weaker and worshiper.  After all, isn't man self-made and self-directed, can't man be his own god?

Is it really possible to sit on a high mountain and gaze at the sky, the birds, the grazing cattle, and not truly know that this is not some naive accident?  It is my opinion that everything is as it is because our God has made it so.  When God gave us the power to make our choices he then turned over the molding of our world to us and in our hands lies the capacity for good or evil, for right or wrong.  Sometimes our choices are self-destructive and nonproductive and the end result is hard to accept.

As a people, we have an obligation to walk the path set before us thousands of years ago.   If God is absent in our lives it is fundamentally human to seek our salvation and search for our purpose.  Please enjoy the following and contemplate your world, your community, your family.
